Fixed-Price Projects
Scope, price and date agreed before anything starts. The number you sign off is the number you pay.
Most IT project overruns follow the same pattern: scope was loosely defined, something unexpected came up, the timeline slipped, and the final invoice was a surprise. We don't work that way. Before anything starts, we agree on what's in scope, what it costs and when it's done. If we get that wrong, it's our problem, not yours.
We do this because it's the only honest way to run a project. It forces us to understand the work properly before we quote it, and it means you can plan around a number you can rely on. We've delivered projects this way for the firms that became Bridge Point, and we've built the operating heritage to scope things accurately.
- Detailed scoping before any work begins, so both sides know exactly what's covered
- Fixed price agreed upfront, with no variable billing during delivery
- Delivery date committed at the start, not estimated after the project is underway
- Clear scope boundary documentation, so change requests are identified and agreed explicitly
- Progress updates throughout so there are no delivery surprises either
- Handover documentation at completion, so the outcome is yours to operate or hand on
Quick questions
What happens if something unexpected comes up mid-project?
We scope carefully to minimise that. If something genuinely outside the agreed scope emerges, we flag it, tell you what it means and get explicit sign-off before proceeding. It doesn't quietly appear on the final invoice.
What kinds of projects do you run this way?
Migrations, network builds, cloud environments, security uplift, system deployments, Microsoft 365 rollouts. If it has a clear start and end and a defined outcome, we can fix-price it. If the scope is genuinely undefined, we'll say so and propose a different engagement shape.
Is fixed-price more expensive than time-and-materials?
Sometimes the quote is higher because we carry the risk rather than you. But you're buying certainty. Most clients find the predictability is worth it — they'd rather budget to a number than absorb the upside and downside of hourly billing.
