Process & Workflow Consulting
Broken or slow internal processes identified and fixed — sometimes with automation, sometimes with a better configuration, sometimes just by asking why it works that way.
A lot of inefficiency in small businesses isn't a technology problem. It's a process that made sense once and got fossilised, or a manual step that was never questioned because everyone assumed it was necessary. We look at how work actually moves through your business, not just what systems you run, and find the friction worth removing.
Sometimes the fix is automation. Sometimes it's a workflow change in tools you already have. Sometimes it's just removing an approval step nobody actually needs. We don't push complexity at problems that don't warrant it, and we don't build automations that require a specialist to maintain. The goal is a process your team can run without us.
- Process mapping: how work actually moves, not how it's supposed to on paper
- Friction and bottleneck identification — the steps that slow things down or break regularly
- Practical recommendations in order of impact, with effort and complexity called out
- Workflow automation where it's the right tool, using platforms you already have
- Configuration changes in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams or your line-of-business systems where that's the fix
- Handover that leaves your team able to maintain the result without ongoing consulting dependency
Quick questions
Do we need to buy new software to improve our processes?
Often no. Most businesses are underusing what they already have. Microsoft 365 alone has workflow and automation capabilities that most clients have never touched. We'll tell you if there's a genuine case for new tooling, but we start from what you've got.
What kind of processes do you typically look at?
Onboarding and offboarding, approval workflows, document handling, reporting, data entry, scheduling and anything that involves someone manually moving information between systems. If someone is copying and pasting between applications regularly, that's usually a place to start.
How do you make sure the new process actually gets used?
We design it with the people who'll use it, not just the people who asked us to fix it. That means the result reflects how work actually happens, not an idealised version. We also keep it simple enough that your team can maintain and adjust it without calling us.
