Manufacturing
From the floor to the books, in one picture.
NZ workshops run on tight margins. The IT underneath them should make that easier, not harder. We manage the infrastructure, secure the network, consult on the processes — and build the software the floor actually needs, including our own Electrify Payroll platform.
Most workshop IT grew by accident. A server someone set up years ago, a network that's been extended one cable at a time, and a timesheet process held together by the one person who knows where everything is. It works until it doesn't.
We treat the whole lot as one system — the infrastructure on the floor, the security around it, and the software that tells you whether a job is actually making money. Including Electrify Payroll, which we built because the off-the-shelf options didn't understand a workshop.
Hand-keyed timesheets
Hours lost in admin every week, mistakes nobody catches until a payroll dispute. The floor has the data — it just never makes it to the right system cleanly.
No live workshop view
Nobody knows what is being worked on right now without walking the floor. Job status, operator allocation and rework all invisible until someone asks.
Late costing signal
Job overruns surface in the month-end review, long after anything could have been done. ERPs that cannot answer 'is this job profitable yet?' are not tools — they're a lag.
Fragile, one-person IT
Most workshops have one person who keeps everything running. When they leave or get sick, there is no documentation and no backup. That is a risk, not a plan.
Run: Managed IT & Networks
Workshop networks, server infrastructure, M365 and a helpdesk your floor team can actually reach. We handle the daily IT so your team handles the work.
Protect: Security & Backup
Manufacturer IP, customer contracts and production data are targets. Endpoint protection, backup and RiskSense-powered security awareness for the whole team.
Improve: IT Advisory
Honest review of where your technology is a drag on the business. Fixed-price projects. No scope creep.
Build: Custom Workshop Software
Our Electrify Payroll platform gives workshops live job visibility, biometric clock-in, real-time costing alerts and clean payroll exports. In production, in NZ workshops.
Software we made for the job
Not side projects. Software we built for a real client problem in this sector, run in production, and offered to anyone with the same problem.
Straight answers
Do we have to replace our ERP or accounting system?
No. Electrify Payroll and our other tools sit alongside what you run and feed it clean data — they're not a rip-and-replace. If your ERP genuinely can't answer the questions you need, we'll say so, but that's a separate conversation.
We've only got one person doing IT. Is that who you replace?
Only if you want us to. More often we back them up — document what's in their head, cover them when they're away, and take the jobs that need more hands. The risk we're really fixing is what happens when that one person leaves.
Will the floor staff actually use new software?
That's the first thing we design for. If it's slower than the clipboard it replaces, it won't get used, and we know it. Biometric clock-in and big-screen job views exist because they're quicker than the thing they replace, not because they demo well.
Can you handle the gear on the floor, not just the office?
Yes — workshop networks, rugged hardware, the displays on the wall. We partnered with SHARP for in-workshop screens and are their preferred software integrator, so the hardware and the software get handled together.
We're not big. Is this overkill?
No. Most of the workshops we work with run on tight margins and small teams — that's exactly who loses the most to admin and late costing signals. The software scales down as happily as it scales up.
