We design connectivity with failover built in, so when one path goes down the traffic moves to another without anyone in the office noticing. Meraki SD-WAN handles the switching; a secondary connection handles the gap.
For linking sites, remote staff and cloud environments, we've deployed Tailscale at scale in place of traditional VPN hardware. Software-defined mesh VPN means the topology is flexible, the configuration is manageable, and you're not wrestling with appliances that need replacing every few years. Legacy VPN is a solved problem — just not elegantly, until now.

How fast is the failover when our main line drops?
With Meraki SD-WAN and a warm secondary connection, failover is designed to be quick enough that your team mostly never notices. We don't quote specific timings that depend on conditions outside our control — the goal is simply that a dropped line stops being your problem.
What is Tailscale and why use it instead of a regular VPN?
Tailscale builds a software-defined mesh network between your devices, sites and cloud — without a central VPN appliance to manage or fail. Each peer connects directly where it can. It's simpler to operate, easier to audit and scales cleanly as your team grows or changes shape.
We already have a VPN. Is it worth switching?
Maybe. Traditional VPNs work, but they're often a maintenance burden and a bottleneck. If yours is causing grief or nearing end of life, it's worth a look. If it's running fine, we'll say so.
