IT Advisory & Strategy
A senior person who looks at your actual environment and tells you what to fix first — in plain language, in priority order, with no transformation theatre.
Most IT advice starts with a framework and works backward to your problem. We start with your problem. A senior consultant reviews what you've got, talks to the people who use it, and produces a short list of what to do first. Not a discovery phase, not a slide deck, not a statement of vision.
We've been doing this across more than 300 New Zealand firms long enough to have seen most problems before. If something is quietly costing you, or quietly at risk, we'll find it and tell you straight. If the right answer is to change three things and leave the rest alone, that's what the report says.
- Current-state review of your IT environment — systems, risks, spend and gaps
- Plain-English findings in priority order, so you know what to fix first and why
- Practical roadmap with effort and cost estimates, not just a list of aspirations
- Honest assessment of what's working and what isn't, without a vendor agenda
- A debrief with a senior person who did the review, not a junior who formatted the report
- No obligation to engage us for the work — the advice is the deliverable
Quick questions
How long does an advisory engagement take?
Depends on the size of the environment. For most businesses, an initial review and findings document takes a week or two. We don't stretch it — the point is a short, usable output, not a twelve-week discovery phase.
What do we get at the end?
A plain-English document with findings in priority order, a recommended roadmap and honest commentary on what's working and what isn't. You can hand it to your own team, give it to your board, or ask us to act on it. All three are valid.
Do you only give advice on things you can then sell us?
No. We'll tell you if the right call is to buy something, change a configuration, retire a system or simply leave things alone. The advice stands on its own. We make money when your IT works, not by recommending projects you don't need.
